I almost feel as if my vote will help to determine the mayorial canadidate that wins in Toronto, dispite the fact I don't live in that city. Race for Mayor in Toronto is all over the news here, somedays driving me crazy, other days causing me to pray that Torontonians will come to their senses on election day. With a crazy, anti-poor, anti- bikelane candidate against a seemingly pretty average candidate it is turning out to be a crazy fight.
A few weeks ago Pete and I figured out who we were voting for, actually we've known all along ... we'ld vote for anyone running against the current councilor. Our current councilor has somehow managed to get funding for a huge tennis court, several parks, and other infrastructure updates in the community he lives in, and yet at the same time in the past seven years he has yet to have a single park built in our community which is about the same size as his. So, my vote already determined to go to the only other candidate running against him, I have been able to focus my thoughts on other things, like finishing my basement, wondering about the people who live in Toronto and their weird voting choices, and trying to find a train table on Kijiji or Craigs list for Christmas.
I love elections!

I was being lazy about figuring out who to vote for for councilor (just focusing on Mayor) but your post makes me realize how off-my-ass I should get.
