Clothes

Clothes when you are a stay-at-home mom begin to matter less and less ... until you have to go out into public. My wardrobe is going steadily into decline with all of the spit up, biting, streaching, and the normal wear and tear that clothes go through. It is hard to justify buying some new clothes when usually it is only a 10 month old who will see me in them (by the time my husband gets home I'm practically in my pajamas). So now that the summer is here and we are taking holidays and visiting more people on the weekends and during the week I'm running out of nice clothes to wear out. I don't mean the fashionable clothes that are the latest style, I just mean the the clothes that aren't stained in spit-up or the neck isn't pulled and streched so far that it no longer holds any shape.

Yesterday I went for a walk with the babe and discovered halfway through our neighbourhood that my clothes didn't match, the neck on my shrit was a very weird shape, and I had spit-up down my back. It is funny how those things don't seem to matter when I'm at home alone. I almost felt lucky that I had remembered to brush my hair that morning.

Oh the joys of motherhood.

My son is watching a plastic spoon turn around and round on the floor.

  1. I totally understand! even my "good jeans" are looking not so good (sniffle...). i almost look forward to summer being over b/c my "fall/winter" clothes are in better shape than my summer clothes (which the majority are maternity and therefore unuseable right now). =)
