Family is the most awesome gift to have. They know you inside out and upside down. They aren't affraid to tell you when you screw up, when you are irrational, or when you are awesome. They support, encourage, mock, and tease.
Over the weekend my "Cousin" and I, along with the babe and my husband all piled into a car to visit my Aunt, Uncle and their 3 boys, as well as Pete's brother and family. It is always an adventure visiting that high energy family. We always have great discussions, play fun games, go on crazy adventures and if I'm lucky, go shopping.
I feel like I live on an island with my family living on the main land. The only way to get to them is by traveling long distances and we can only see them for a limited amount of time because we always have to catch the ferry back to our island. I feel normal when I am with my family. I get recharged, even when they exhaust me with all of their adventures.
I wish we all lived on the main land instead of on our own seperate islands so that I can visit more often.

ReplyDeleteMy family is especially big on the mock and tease aspects. :)
I also have a huge extended family and they're located all over the place with strong concentrations in Ontario and Alberta. Don't get to see them as often as I'd sometimes like.
