With my music camp package's arrival I began to write out my extensive packing list for camp. Normally I'm a pretty prepared camper with lots of clothes, lots more warm clothes, and everything possible I could need. Going to Music Camp with a baby is going to be a huge change. Not only do I have to bring enough clothes for two weeks for everyone since there is no predicting the weather or the amount of drool, but I also have to bring toys, equipment (stroller, backpack, playpen etc), and food.
Today I started going through the little one's clothes to figure out if there are any articles missing that I'll need to pick up in the next two weeks. We've been surviving on summer clothes but at music camp you practically need a snowsuit for your baby to sleep in. I think I just need to pick up a couple more sleepers and we'll be prepared in that area. I've already resigned myself to a trip into Bracebridge for laundry since I can't justify buying enough clothes to actually last the whole trip.
And then there are they toys. What kind of toys do I bring? We don't have any outdoors toys since Jaden is still mostly and indoor baby (due to the fact he puts everything in his mouth). Our supply of stuffed toys will get pretty dirty at camp.
I'm happy that we have a van for this excursion. Thank goodness for my parents' generosity in lending us their van on basically a permanent basis. Even with a van I have No idea how we are going to fit our guitars in. It will be an adventure!
You're still here?

i know it would take up lots of room, but do you have/could you borrow an exersaucer? or is jaden done w/ using it? some plastic trucks or something could be fun for him too. i can't imagine going anywhere for 2 weeks w/ no laundry facilities...i do about one load a day as it is... =)
ReplyDeleteWe are actually only gone for one week but Jaden is teething so he is drooling on everything and everyone. I usually change my shirt two or three times a day, and his shirts atleast that many times. So I'm packing two weeks of clothes to compensate.
